March of the Wang

I was feeling nostalgic for middle school so I watched a few Nine Inch Nails videos. They reminded me of Alexander Wang. No doubt Trent Reznor, circa early 90s, must have inspired Wang's current and upcoming collections.

Ladies and Gentlemen, The Zit Remedy!

Here's a digital drawing our resident illustrator made in middle school using the old Paint program. Remember how amazing that program was back in the day and how the spray paint option was the coolest thing ever?

Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2010 vs. Nudie Suits

Back in the day, singing cowboys wore suits covered in rhinestones and embroidery made by tailor Nudie Cohn. These dazzling suits were coined "Nudie Suits" and were often seen on musicians such as Gram Parsons, Porter Wagoner, Keith Richards, and Jimmy Page.

Miu Miu's Spring/ Summer 2010 collection also looks something like a Nudie suit.

Gram Parsons of the Flying Burrito Brothers arguably had the best suit of bunch which featured marijuana leaves, pills, poppies and naked ladies on a white asymmetrical biker jacket inspired suit.

The Vancouver 2010 Winter Games: Pass the Olympic Torch on the Left Hand Side Please

Did you see the Vancouver 2010 Olympics opening ceremonies last night? There were fiddlers! See:
I image that this is what the Vancouver Olympic committee thought: What represents Canada? Newfies. What represents Newfies? Fiddle music. Fiddle music is Celtic. So are tribal tattoos. Crusties have a lot of tribal tatoos. There are a lot of custies in Vancouver. Therefore fiddling crusties = Vancouver.

For the finale, a few Canadian athletes lit up a few gigantic blunts -- after the gigantic crystal bear spirit visited them, of course. Yes Vancouver!
